DKP rules

What is DKP (Dragon Kill Points)?

DKP is virtual points members accrue while raiding. Think of this as being paid to raid. You get paid in DKP points per raid you attend which adds to your total.
Officers have agreed to log and parse raids and take attendance before and after an event. Officers will manage the DKP system and DKP website interface.

Members will be able to access their point totals and the point totals of others at any time via the DKP link on our website.

Note: we have a DKP decay in effect to prevent over inflated DKP tallies. Both the 'Earned' and 'Spent' totals are subject to same decay rate. This keeps the numbers from growing too large, everyone's DKP totals affected at the same rate.

Who is eligible to earn DKP?

All Division of Anarchy members who participate in a raid will earn DKP. If you are a brand new recruit, you will start with zero DKP and start accumulating them on the first raid. DKP is awarded at the end of the raid day, what is posted on the DKP website interface is the points you have available to spend that raid day.

DKP will be accrued by an individual behind the keyboard and not per characters in attendance.

Individuals that are asked to sit out of raid will also accumulate DKP as if they were on the raid. The only stipulation is that those folks being asked to sit out will have to remain on line either as their main or a guilded alt and be ready to fill a spot if a spot opens. Their online status and subsequent DKP earnings would be identical to those whom were attending the raid. Non-raiders will not accumulate DKP if asked to sit out.

How will DKP value of targets be determined?

Our current structure is that each encounter that will automatically drop an Exquisite chest when defeated will award 10 DKP. Additional DKP will be awarded for defeating encounters for the first time, or other such incentives. We will make posts if this guideline ever changes.

How does the sign up calendar play into DKP?

Sign up for raid days; let your raid leader know if you are going to attend or if you will be absent.
As this is so vital to the raid planning the following is in effect:

Folks who signed up to attend raids, and indeed attended will receive 100% of the night's DKP value
Folks who did not sign up to attend the raid, and attended will receive 0% of the night's DKP value
Folks who signed up to attend raids, and do not show up to attend will have 100% of the night's DKP value SUBTRACTED from their DKP tally.

Again, folks who sign up, show up and are asked to sit out will receive full dkp.

What if I show up late or need to leave early?

Folks attending 100% of the raid will receive 100% of the night's DKP value.
Folks attending >50% of the raid will receive 75% of the night's DKP value.
Folks attending <50% of the raid will receive 25% of the night's DKP value.

How to Spend DKP?

You must be of a level use the item in order to spend accrued DKP points on the item. Members asked to sit out, but remain available (in Ventrilo) are allowed to bid.

When an item drops, an Officer will announce that bidding has begun and who to send private tells to. Members interested in the item send ONE(1) bid to the Officer (The highest amount of DKP they are willing to spend on the item)

Example: Member 1 bids 5 dkp, Member 2 bids 10 dkp, Member 3 bids 20 dkp. Member 3 would win the item and be charged the next highest bid +1 = (10+1) 11dkp.

Please note: Bidding priority is Main Raid Characters --> Alts of sufficient level to use the item and is camped outside of the raid zone.

All users will have access to the DKP site and totals will be updated daily.

Master drops -

Belong to the guild while on a raid.

Character Rotation/Attendance -

Depending on the raid zone we are attempting and the encounters we are looking to defeat, the needs of the raid may change. Some encounters may require severe limits to the number of tanks or other classes we can bring and expect to be successful. For these reasons we will need to fill our raids depending on what we are facing.

We've decided that a 66%+ attendance will remain a key factor in our decisions on whom we add to a raid. Those members maintaining a 66% attendance will have a much higher chance of being invited to our scheduled raids. This 66% attendance will be a rolling 30 day window.

Anytime someone is asked to sit out the raid, we will track this on a thread in the Officer forum. We will make a best effort attempt to minimize the number of raids people are asked to sit and by having all the attendance data in front of us, will be able to better make decisions in an attempt to make this as fair as possible.

Keep in mind that people being asked to sit out or volunteer their spots to another person will still receive DKP as if they were on the raid. In addition to earning DKP, they will also receive attendance credit.

Also, please note that this system may be altered and adjusted at any time to address issues as they come up.
